eFORCE® Customer Spotlight: Houston Cnty Sheriff's Office

Houston County is a rural county located in East Texas.  Although the county is 1237 square miles, it is home to approximately 23,700 residents.  In December 2010, the Sheriff’s Office moved into a new state of the art facility that will hold 144 inmates with the possibilities of expansion.  The new Criminal Justice Center provides offices for the Sheriff, Dispatch, Jail, Justice of the Peace Courts(s), Constable(s) and Texas Parks and Wildlife, Game Warden(s). 

During the move we evaluated our current records management system and searched for an affordable yet functional software solution.  We made the decision to proceed with eFORCE® police software.  Prior to eFORCE® we were utilizing databases that were created by a very talented employee.  However, the databases were not able to interact and share data in a manner that we could effectively extract and accurately track the status of current cases that were being investigated.

We started using eFORCE® software in Early 2011 and utilized the Dispatch Software (CAD), Records Management Software, Jail Management Software, and Civil Process features.   Entering and extracting data from eFORCE® is simple and fast.  Case management has been simplified and it has made it easier to track the progression of the cases, which is beneficial for supervisors and investigators.  We are also able to track our civil process and evidence.
